Robert Half In House Counsel in Axis, Alabama

Description

Our client is seeking a permanent full-time In House Counsel to join their team in Mobile, Alabama. This role will provide comprehensive legal support, focusing on areas such as employment law, environmental health and safety law, immigration matters, corporate governance and compliance with applicable privacy laws.

• Provide proactive employment law advice, assistance, and counseling daily.

• Support and provide advice on a wide range of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legal issues.

• Oversee the management of registrations and filings for corporate subsidiaries.

• Assist in the drafting of non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and applications.

• Conduct research on legal issues that arise out of the matters handled.

• Assist with corporate governance initiatives, including providing in-house training to personnel.

• Populate and maintain key legal information on intranet and SharePoint sites.

• Assist with the due diligence analysis of potential business partners.

• Assist with the drafting and revising of policies covering various requirements such as FCPA/Anti-corruption and privacy law compliance.

• Handle administrative initiatives, including matters related to file maintenance and document retention.

• Stay up to date and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.

• Negotiate and draft agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.

Requirements • Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• Admitted to the bar in the state of employment

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as an attorney

• Expertise in Employment Law, Corporate Law, and Business Laws

• Solid understanding of legal issues in the manufacturing industry

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• High level of professional ethics and integrity

• Proven track record of managing legal matters independently

• Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
