Lead Embedded/Firmware Engineer - Avon, OH (Hybrid Flexibility)

Actalent is hiring an embedded/firmware engineer to develop and design software and lead a small team of engineers, manage projects and requirements.

Description

• Assume total responsibility and accountability for the company's engineering operations

• Hiring, firing, performance reviews

• Attend meetings with new and existing customers to evaluate software, hardware, and firmware engineering needs

• Capture client requirements and create internal requirement documents

• Handle client billing

• Coordinate and lead all engineering projects with the internal engineering team on a regular basis

• Stay up to date on Industry 4.0 technology

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

• 5+ years of firmware/embedded systems experience

• Around 3 years of leadership experience

• Experience working directly with customers

• Up to date with recent software, firmware, and hardware technology

• Experience with RTOS, wireless network communication protocols, writing device drivers

• Experience working in a safety-critical/regulated environment

• Confident personality

PLUS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a similar field

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $72.12/hr.
