Job Summary The Technician position will work in the Corporate Technology group. The Technician will complete compounding and testing on specific projects and have a high degree of proficiency with material processing on equipment such as Twin Screw and Single Screw extruders and various molding equipment. Essential Functions * Work with a professional technical staff in projects related to product development, process development or application development depending on the work area of the job. * Laboratory work involving new experiments and sample preparation. * Processes material using Brabenders, Single-Screw, Twin-Screw, Injection Molding Machines and testing equipment. * Accurate measures, records and reports of data. * Follow safety and housekeeping procedures. * Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience * High school diploma or GED required * Two to three years in polymer processing is preferred * Mechanical aptitude preferred Competencies * Each position at Avient focuses on eight Core Competencies as a Leader of Self.
