Assistant Staff Civil Engineer - Austin or New Braunfels, TX

Trihydro Corporation is seeking a civil engineer to join its Austin or New Braunfels, TX office. This role plays a part in our Infrastructure and Natural Resources Business Unit and will assist in providing clients across many industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions. As a member of our team, you will assist with developing solutions for water agencies, municipalities, and private clients addressing civil infrastructure and water resource needs and improvements. You will develop or improve infrastructure systems including water, sanitary sewer, transportation, and stormwater. In this role, you will have responsibilities such as technical research, performing design calculations, drafting figures, preparing construction plan sets, design modeling, preparing technical memorandums and reports, developing cost estimates, and preparing permit applications. You may also conduct field data collection, perform site inspections and inventories, and perform construction observation, monitoring and reporting.

This role is for you if:

  • You have 0+ years of engineering design experience and are looking for opportunities to build your technical foundation.
  • You have experience with and/or are interested in civil infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, and water resources.

  • You value teamwork to achieve project goals.
  • You are an engineer-in-training (E.I.T. or F.E.) or have plans to obtain your E.I.T. or F.E. within 6 months.
  • You are a professional engineer (P.E.) early in your career or can obtain your P.E. in a timely manner.
  • Youre experienced in AutoCAD and Civil 3D or related CADD programs (not required, but this experience will allow you to hit the ground running).
  • You possess strong technical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness; and a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
  • You have an interest and ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.
  • You understand the importance of time management and possess excellent organizational skills.
