TEKsystems Trade Compliance Analyst in Austin, Texas

Description: We are seeking an experienced Import Customs Compliance Manager with over 6 years of progressive responsibility in import customs compliance roles, ideally within professional services firms or Fortune 500 companies. The ideal candidate will hold a Licensed Customs Broker License (preferred) and possess advanced Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) experience, including managing external partners.

Key responsibilities include supporting the Global Trade FTZ program and vendor management, conducting audits of FTZ estimates admissions and weekly customs entries, and managing and monitoring external partners through weekly meetings, compliance requests, and shipment validations. The role also involves monitoring, measuring, and developing reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), evaluating new government requirements, and partnering with regional teams to ensure import compliance.

The successful candidate will ensure legal regulatory compliance with all aspects of FTZ operations, manage any system-related issues and root cause analysis, and handle classification-specific projects as assigned. Additionally, they will manage and present metrics to the management team, conduct desk verifications and on-site audits with external partners, and create and maintain processes and procedures. Effective and clear communication with stakeholders through emails, presentations, and other formats is essential. Proficiency with MS Office and SAP-GTS, project management experience, and strong data management skills, including KPIs and metrics development and management, are required. Knowledge of US Customs programs, including Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Orders, and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) such as the FDA and EPA, is also necessary.

Daily Duties:

-Support Global Trade FTZ program and vendor management

-Conduct audits of FTZ estimates admissions and weekly customs entries

-Manage and monitor external partners including weekly meetings, compliance requests, shipment validations etc.

-Monitor, measure and develop reports with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs.)

-Evaluate new government requirements and partner with regional teams to ensure import compliance.

-Ensure legal regulatory compliance with all aspects of FTZ operations.

-Manage any system related issues and root cause analysis

-Manage classification specific projects as assigned.

-Manage and present metrics to management team

-Conduct desk verifications and on-site audits with external partners

-Create and maintain process and procedures.

-Create effective and clear communication with stakeholders (Emails, Presentations, etc.)

Education & Experience: BA/BS degree plus 6+ years of equivalent practical work experience. A Masters and/or JD degree is a plus.
