Aerotek Test Technician in Austin, Texas
Job Title: Test Technician Pay $19-$22 Weekly Pay
Job Description
Are you seeking a stable, yet growing company to further your career? Do you have Helium Leak Checking experience or electro-mechanical testing experience? Come join a friendly team as a Test Technician! Under limited supervision, you will work from production drawings, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials, wire lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to perform standard and specialized testing and inspection of all products.
Responsibilities
Work as a member of the production team to assist in meeting schedules and completing assignments in a timely manner at the direction of the Production Supervisor or the Manufacturing Manager.
Be flexible working in a Job Shop oriented environment on multiple product types.
Build on knowledge already gained from 1-2 years experience working on Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, and Pneumatic Assemblies.
Visually inspect and leak test hose assemblies.
Use power supplies to test various electrical products.
Perform data entry of First Pass Yield into the production log.
Enter SPC data as necessary.
Organize tools and maintain workstation cleanliness.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
1-2+ years of helium leak checking or electro-mechanical testing and troubleshooting experience.
1-2+ years of experience generating reports regarding test findings.
1-2+ years working with electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience interfacing with engineering/customers.
Proficiency in MS Office and computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Firm understanding of basic electrical theory/principles.
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
AA degree, trade certificate, or UL508 testing experience.
Working knowledge of ANSI standard and ISO 9001:2000, ISO 1348S-2012.
Knowledge of IPC-A-620-1 requirements.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Experience with infrared thermography testing.

Work Environment
The work environment is a climate-controlled and clean manufacturing setting. The typical work shift is from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of working until 4:30 PM at the latest. There is a 10 percent shift differential for the 2nd shift, if available.
