Microsoft Corporation Supply Chain Product Manager in Austin, Texas

Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Inside the CSCP organization they also are responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver , but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 Datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

Within CSCP Strategy and Transformation (S&T) team, the well established product management team focused on network planning and supply chain sourcing aims to design, implement and operationalise scalable solutions that will empower the Cloud Supply Chain to grow in line with Microsoft's future ambitions We are looking for Supply Chain Product Manager, in this role you will partner with multiple Supply Chain organizations to drive transformative system and process initiatives to enable the increasing scale and growth of Microsoft Cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Begins to contribute to identifying customers unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities via analyses and scopes the impact of a problem with minimal guidance.

  • Establishes clarity of the root problem and how it relates to trends.

  • Defines solution options for a group of features or feature areas.

  • Drives and tracks success criteria and performance metrics and provides clarity on fundamentals of a group of features or feature areas.

  • Partners with others to identify data-informed, short-term investment opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and prioritize investments in consultation with cross-functional partners for a group of features or feature areas.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information for a group of features/feature areas.

  • Defines the features or feature set and partners with engineering teams for desired functionality and product vision.

  • Partners with the engineering team to prioritize and deliver on feature area road-maps.

  • Tracks and communicates project schedules, monitors processes, and manages dependencies.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to release plans aligned with the desired business benefits.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product, service, project or program management

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Previous experience working within engineering and/or supply chain

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience with Supply Chan within Engineering or Operations

  • Previous work inside Supply Chain Planning

Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
