Robert Half Staff Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant, located in Austin, Texas. The role entails accounting duties including the management of customer credit applications and accounts, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded, and supporting the accounting team as necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Processing daily cash deposits which includes depositing checks, retrieving electronic deposits, and reconciling cash deposits.

• Preparing accounts receivable invoices and entering payments received for open accounts receivable invoices.

• Facilitating monthly general ledger close process which includes preparing various journal entries as needed, reconciling bank statements, analyzing general ledger accounts, and preparing/maintaining supporting financial close documentation/reports.

• Coordinating accounting matters with other departments to resolve reconciling items and/or technical accounting issues.

• Ensuring financial transactions are properly recorded and maintained in an organized manner.

• Facilitating & supporting external and internal financial audits as needed.

• Supporting and backing up other Accounting team members as necessary.

• Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP.

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar

• Demonstrated skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Knowledge of General Ledger management and maintenance

• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high tech engineering environment.
