Description

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a 4-month contract-to-permanent opportunity. In this role, you will work closely with leadership and gain exposure to diverse business activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and manage federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.

• Draft written correspondence for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities.

• Conduct research to identify and support strategic tax planning initiatives.

• Perform technical analysis on tax issues and prepare supporting memoranda.

• Analyze financial data to create tax projections and provide actionable recommendations.

• Continuously maintain knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures, and assess their impact on clients.

• Assist clients with year-end accounting entries and resolve accounting concerns.

• Maintain client tax records and identify tax-saving strategies.

• Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance for clients.

• Communicate directly with clients to review returns and address tax-related inquiries.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

CPA certification or Enrolled Agent (EA) license.

3+ years of relevant work experience in tax and accounting.

Strong knowledge of corporate accounting and federal tax law.

Excellent communication skills and familiarity with accounting software.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
