Need: SLP x 2-3

Duration: 13 weeks to start (extension highly likely if contractor is a good fit)

Location: Bluebonnet Trails, Georgetown, TX

Edu/licensure requirements:

Master’s Degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited college or university.

Current licensure to practice speech therapy in Texas.

Valid Texas driver’s license.

Must have at least 2 years of SLP experience.

Experience in ECI specifically strongly preferred but not required

Bilingual strongly preferred but not required

Coaching Model experience strongly preferred but not required

Population:

Early Childhood Intervention (ECI ages 0-3).

They provide a coaching model vs a clinical model. Coaching will be done with the parents vs providing clinical support to the child.

Schedule:

20-22.5 hours per week (not guaranteed)

No weekends or on call required

Monday-Friday (mostly within hours of 8a-5p, but some sessions my be scheduled after 5p or run past 5 - rare)

Areas of coverage:

1 Therapist: Leander/Liberty Hill/Burnet area

1 Therapist: Hutto/Taylor area

1 Therapist: Caldwell/Bastrop County (closer to Austin, near Cedar Creek & Dale area)

*doesn’t think one person can cover Leander/Liberty Hill/Burnet + Hutto/Taylor. If we can’t find people, may need to choose between the 2.

Caseload:

Hard to determine how many session/week will be completed

Because they have been so short staffed for so long, they have drastically reduced how

many sessions kiddos are being scheduled. Have to prioritize higher acuity kids.

They have plenty of kids that need their service, but most are only scheduled to be seen once per month, once every other month or twice per year.

Could see them increasing caseload by increasing frequency of sessions if our contractors can handle it.

Setting:

Some telehealth some in person.

If family is okay with virtual sessions, then remote is acceptable.

If a family requests in person services, SLP MUST COMPLY & PROVIDE IN PERSON SERVICES. In person services are usually completed in patient home, but could be done in one the BBT community centers if the family prefers (rare).

Session/Documentation info:

Sessions are in increments of 15 minutes.

Will either be 15, 30 or 60 minutes.

They require collaborative documentation with family, meaning documentation should be done throughout the duration of the session and completed prior to ending session with family.

Required to have all documentation submitted the EHR system within 24 hours of session
