Hyatt Sienna Apartments - Maintenance Technician in AUSTIN, Texas

The Role

As the Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will ensure that all vacated apartments in the Sienna residences are thoroughly restored to "make ready" status and diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as dry walling, painting, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliance repair. There is a great amount of interaction with customers, residents, and guests, therefore maintaining a high level of customer service is imperative to the success of this position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Prepares vacant apartments to ensure the timely turn of all vacant apartment to market ready condition that meet the Company’s standards.

  • Completes service requests from residents in a timely manner by demonstrating customer services skills while treating residents and others with respect.

  • Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the community’s make-ready checklist.

  • Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash and debris, pressure-washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.

  • Maintain shop inventory and organization.

Sienna at the Thompson

This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower – Siena – and 10,000 square feet of retail space. ​

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year previous experience in multifamily maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC (preferred)

  • Applicable certifications including but not limited to EPA, HVAC I & II A plus

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Self-starter and able to multi-task.

  • Must be able to follow instructions.

  • An understanding of authentic hospitality and care and customer-focused mentality.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
