Robert Half Senior Tax Manager in Austin, Texas

Description

We are seeking for a Tax Sr. - Corporate in Austin. This role involves developing and implementing tax strategies, overseeing tax compliance, providing tax planning advice, identifying and managing tax risks, leading a team of tax professionals, and maintaining effective relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are skilled in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CapEx, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Cash Activity, and Compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies that minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.

• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, including the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Provide proactive tax planning advice to optimize financial outcomes, including analyzing potential tax impacts of business decisions.

• Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring appropriate controls and processes are in place.

• Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors.

• Maintain strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively and drive innovation in tax strategies.

• Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Solutions

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with Capital Expenditure (CapEx) management

• Proficient understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing principles

• Ability to manage Budget Processes effectively

• Experience in handling Cash Activity

• Understanding of Compliance procedures in a corporate environment

• Experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
