Senior Software Development Engineer in Test

What does a successful Senior Software Development Engineer in Test do at Fiserv?

You will be a part of a small but growing team of hardworking people that are the primary driver for raising the quality of our products and services. Drive quality and excellence through a detailed and relentless approach to automation. Our primary clients are Restaurants, Quick Service, and Sports and Entertainment venue host systems. Our environment consists of modern APIs, microservices, web applications, android applications, third-party services integrations, cloud infrastructure, and legacy APIs.

What you will do:

  • Write and execute automated test code for native apps leveraging the latest open-source packages and technologies.

  • Write end-to-end automation to validate product functionality and integration with dependencies.

  • Develop, update, and execute software test plans, automated frameworks, and programs.

  • Plan and carry out performance, load, and stress tests and participate in design, architecture, and code reviews.

  • Implement, execute, and debug automated test scripts using various technology and tools.

  • Work within an agile development process (Scrumban) from a team workflow perspective.

  • Analyze functional requirements and development stories into automated validation.

What you will need to have:

  • 5-8 years of Software Development and/or QA experience in a live, high-volume, transactional environment.

  • 5+ years of experience with at least one modern object-oriented programming language. (Java/Kotlin or JavaScript).

  • 3+ years of experience writing automated test scripts and libraries (UiAutomator2, Espresso, Cypress, Appium, Selenium, Postman, LambdaTest, Apache JMeter).

  • 3+ years of programming or scripting languages like. (JavaScript, Python).

  • 3+ years of experience testing REST API calls.

  • 3+ years of experience in writing advanced level SQL queries and strong understanding of REST/HTTP/SOAP and JSON.

  • 3+ years of experience with Android automation or Cypress framework and testing all layers of a web application.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience.

What would be great to have:

  • Industry certifications in Quality Assurance, Agile Scrum, or Public Cloud.

  • Experience testing Android USB peripheral integrations and Android SDK performance tools such Android Studio.

  • Experience testing Mobile, Tablet, Handheld Device iOS/Android development, and strong understanding of software testing methodologies such as TDD, data-driven testing.

  • Experience working with cloud computing technologies such as AWS and container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

  • Experience with implementing continuous integration and delivery concepts (CI/CD) using Github Actions.

  • Direct experience in point-of-sale tools hardware and software, e-commerce, shopping cart, or payment service gateways.
