Hoar Construction Senior Program Development Manager / HPM in Austin, Texas
The Senior Program Development Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for new or developing client engagements. This position will often serve as the bridge between sales and business development efforts and operational phases of an assignment. The key contributions include establishing and aligning the strategic goals of a client with HPM, developing highly functional and motivated teams, deep understanding and proficiency with the services, solutions, and capabilities of HPM. This position will often reinforce and establish HPM’s first impression with new clients. In this role you may be required to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate and in certain cases take leadership role in sales and business development efforts as well and relationship development with new and existing clients.
Provide strategic and clear communication in all formats (written, spoken, social media, public presentations, etc.) on behalf of HPM to clients and public audiences.
Capability to work independently with a Client to develop solutions to complex design/construction challenges though various techniques including but not limited to the following:
Comparisons of various design/construction delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, CMR, CMA, IPD, etc.)
Development of detailed cost/benefit analyses and risk assessments for various delivery method options.
Review and analysis of various forms of design, construction, and consultant contracts & services.
Develop fundamental responsibility matrices for teams and insure that Owner’s risk is being addressed properly among team members.
Oversee and manage planning and design phases and key information required to advance design development to completion.
Develop procurement strategies for a given project or program to insure best practices for design, consultant, and construction services.
Ability to anticipate or foresee phasing challenges, parallel or overlapping design/procurement/construction issues.
Develop conceptual budgets including land acquisition, direct construction costs, soft costs (A/E, Consultants, etc.), fees, etc.
Develop Master Schedules to include multi-phasing, planning, design, procurement, construction, turnover/startup, etc.
Identify opportunities to provide ancillary and/or additional services such as Facility Master Planning, Space Planning, Facility Assessments, Long Range Capital Planning, etc.
Leading and manage multi-discipline teams in early start up phases of an assignment until such point that transition to HPM operations team is appropriate.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 Yr. Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Design, etc., Master’s Degree preferred but not required. (MBA, M-Arch, etc.)
Minimum 5-7 years professional experience with prior experience in Planning Departments, Preconstruction, or Project Management
Professional Certifications preferred but not required (CPM, PMP, PE, NCARB, AIA, etc.)
Valid Driver's License Required
