Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly effective candidate to identify, create, develop and integrate innovative technology to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world.

This role will lead sourcing, pricing, geo-diversity, and second source manufacturing efforts for supply resiliency for AI/ML products added to our product roadmap.This role will manage the additional supply chain complexity when qualifying suppliers and manufacturing lines when transitioning from development to Mass Production. Additionally, this role will deliver our component multi-sourcing strategies, pricing, and enable contract manufacturing for the same platforms to ensure supply chain resiliency for our expanding AI/ML roadmap. This role will lead line qualification, capacity planning, and contract agreements during product development so that at launch, manufacturing capacity is scalable to meet our customer needs.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Power Supply sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for AWS hardware infrastructure.

  • Understand industry and technology trends.

  • Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps and execute on strategic initiatives in those products.

  • Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Develop negotiations strategies to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationship with suppliers.

  • Responsible to provide weekly core-team updates, deliver executive level updates on a monthly basis, and will be responsible for vendor escalations in order to resolve any issues related to his/her category.

  • Present to senior leadership via written narratives.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
