We are the FastTrack for Azure Engineering (FTA) team - a fast growing Engineering team of customer obsessed and passionate individuals that drive positive customer outcomes and experiences. FastTrack for Azure is a customer success service to help customers confidently onboard to Azure and getting them on the right track to succeed. FastTrack Azure takes a solution-centric approach and provides customers with Engineering resources, best practices, tools and resources that drive Azure usage.

As a Senior Customer Engineer in the Americas Data & Artificial Intelligence (AI) Customer Engineering team, you'll guide Microsoft customers on their journey to embrace AI and Machine Learning (ML), helping them tackle critical business and technical challenges. In this role, you'll enable customers to achieve more with Microsoft Azure, while directly influencing the future of Microsoft products and platforms. Responsibilities

• Drive customers in implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML) workloads on Azure, by building demos, solution accelerators and guiding them through the steps to production.

• Validate customer solution requirements to ensure they are optimized, secure, resilient, and scalable.

• Provide deep expertise in AI & ML, helping customers understand the potential and limitations of various models and techniques, and guiding them in selecting the most appropriate solutions for their needs.

• Support product teams with customer-specific feedback for continuous improvement.

• Stay current on Azure/Cloud innovations, Generative AI trends, and emerging technologies to conduct experiments, drive product improvement, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for other engineers.

• Share knowledge through content publication to support the technical community and enterprises in leveraging Microsoft Data & AI services and building their own solutions on Azure.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in software industry experience related to technology

o OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with widely used programming languages in AI such as Python and popular libraries/frameworks.

  • 4+ years of experience building or leveraging AI and ML solutions and developing applications utilizing AI frameworks and methods.

  • 4+ years of experience collaborating with customers in an implementation, or solution design role, delivering proof of concepts or production deployments.

These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 8+ years software industry experience related to technology

o OR Master's Degree in Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years software industry experience related to technology

o OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years customer facing experience.

  • ⁠6+ years in a technical solution architect or customer engineer role in a customer-facing capacity.

  • 3+ years of experience designing analytics solutions, including components such as data integration, data storage, data visualization, and predictive modeling.

Customer Experience Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
