Robert Half Senior Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. The chosen candidate will be responsible for various accounting functions including financial reporting, general ledger management, financial analysis, audit support, compliance, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and documented.

• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.

• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and support schedules are prepared timely and accurately.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices.

• Reconcile accounts and balance sheets and perform bank reconciliations.

• Enter and manage journal entries and perform month-end close activities.

• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to perform tasks efficiently.

• Use NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and other tools to perform accounting tasks. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrable experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries preparation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for data management and analysis

• Experience in Month End Close process to ensure timely financial reporting

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for efficient financial operations

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departments

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is highly desirable

• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role or in the field of accounting.
