Job/Position DescriptionThe Project Manager V works under the direction of the Community-Based Care Operations Director for DFPS. This position performs highly advanced (senior-level) project management work. Work involves establishing the strategic goals and objectives for projects; is responsible for the overall implementation of Community-Based Care projects by providing oversight to the project, including but not limited to developing guidelines, procedures, rules, and regulation; and coordinating and evaluating program activities. May direct, assign, and evaluate the work of project staff. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job FunctionsDirects, develops, initiates, and evaluates projects, including multi-agency or enterprise-level projects, using accepted project management methodologies and identifies and implements process improvements in the area of project management.and#149; Coordinates and implements high level, critical, large impact cross-agency projects.and#149; Establishes strategic goals and objectives for assigned projects using accepted project management methodologies.and#149; Responsible for directing and developing project documentation and executive reporting for assigned projects.and#149; Represents executive leadership in cross-agency or internal program projects.and#149; Evaluates program activities related to projects assigned to identify and implement process improvements.and#149; Develops appropriate project metrics in order to assess project success and guide project process improvements.Oversees project budgets, schedules, work plans, resource requirements, and cost estimates and projections and reviews and approves proposed changes to project parameters and changes to original project plan and budget; oversees implementation of changes.and#149; Accountable for maintaining project budgets, work plans, resource allocations and associated reports for projects assigned.and#149; Directs, assigns, and evaluates the work of project staff, as needed.and#149; Keeps up to date documentation and tracking of project activities including change management.and#149; Implements and documents parameters and changes in approved project changes into assigned projects.and#149; Coordinates and monitors project tasks and assignments, ensuring quality of project deliverables.and#149; Works on projects that are highly complex, that have large budgetary considerations and ensures projects are completed within budget.and#149; Responsible for leading projects throughout the full project lifecycle from project initiation through completion to ensure the terms of the project contact or specifications are fulfilled.Develops project plans including strategy definition, project forecast allocation, timelines and milestones, and contingency planning and creates documentation procedures to capture and manage changes in original project plan.
