Description

We are looking for an adept Technical Production Artist to join our team in the financial services industry. This role is based in Austin, Texas and offers a contract employment opportunity. As a Production Artist, you will be responsible for converting and updating PDF documents to comply with ADA standards, assisting in the organization of the file system, and coaching other team members on compliance standards and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Convert and update PDF documents to comply with ADA standards, using Adobe InDesign to add headers, alt text, outlines, and other document specifics.

• Reupload compliant files and contribute to the improvement of our internal process for document compliance.

• Aid in organizing the file system and ensuring consistent compliance practices.

• Coach and train other team members on compliance standards and best practices.

• Work on digital and product design projects, modifying graphics and data to be accessible for screen readers.

• Handle large documents, ensuring all elements are accessible and properly tagged.

• Ensure logical structure and proper tagging in InDesign documents.

• Add descriptive alt text for images.

• Tag tables, lists, form fields, and interactive elements.

• Specify language for different sections to aid screen readers.

• Add metadata and document properties to improve searchability and context.

• Verify color contrast and document reflow for accessibility.

• Use Adobe InDesign's accessibility checker and export settings to create tagged PDFs.

Requirements • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.

• Demonstrable experience in creating advertisements, brochures, and other promotional materials.

• Strong background in artwork and design, with a focus on digital mediums.

• Knowledge of financial services industry is desirable.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Creative problem-solving abilities.

• Comfortable receiving feedback and making necessary adjustments to designs.

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field is preferred. Innovation starts with people.®
