AppleCare Digital has an opening for a Product Manager to manage a subset of content management products and services that enable Apple content creators to build, edit, publish, & deliver amazing support experiences. Content managed across our Content Platforms is served to customers through different digital channels including our AppleCare Support website, which handles billions of visits from Apple customers globally. As a member of the Product team, you’ll identify, define, prioritize and measure the success of features that help us meet operational and customer experience goals. In this role you’ll be required to take a human-centric approach to problem-solving and product development, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and experimentation. The position requires partnering with UX/UI and software engineering teams to design, develop, test, launch, and sustain software applications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with diverse CMS architectures, product management, design thinking methodologies, Agile software development, and team leadership. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as an ability to present to cross-functional partners, peers, and senior executives/leadership.

Description

In this role you will identify new enhancement opportunities, define business and technical requirements, and partner with software engineering teams to develop, test, and execute plans. You will lead design and development efforts by conveying a vision to the team, outlining requirements in a product backlog, and prioritize it based on business value. This position requires you to perform traditional Product Owner responsibilities in a Scrum team, including writing user stories and acceptance criteria. You will dive deep into the data, becoming a subject matter authority in our key performance indicators. You will develop a solid understanding of the team’s existing technical implementations and operational processes, and use that knowledge combined with data-driven insights to create informed requirements for new customer-facing features, product enhancements, and improvements. You will establish strong working relationships with engineering teams, designers, and business partners across the company. It’s critical that you be able to effectively communicate technical concepts to both software developers and non-developers / business partners. You’ll need to plan and implement data-gathering activities to ensure the product is meeting customer and business needs. You are able to handle complex, sensitive and fast changing assignments. You will investigate, test, and deliver new technical solutions to help power self-solve opportunities for customers seeking resolution to an issue or seeking to learn more about their Apple products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years and a Master's degree

  • Experience leading Agile/Scrum software development projects in a cross-functional environment

  • Ability to establish a product vision and strategy for your product area, and build alignment across product teams, cross-functional partners, and leadership team

  • Ability to drive product features through their entire creative cycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration

  • Experience performing qualitative and quantitative research to explore and validate feature ideas

  • Experience partnering with product designers to create intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces

  • Prior hands-on experience managing highly integrated product architectures, ideally for CMS ecosystems

  • Ability to dive deep with engineers to make technical tradeoff decisions and summarize it all for non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, make recommendations, prioritize features and drive actions

  • Ability to handle directional change and concurrently manage multiple priorities on the roadmap

  • Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Ability to build consensus across a core team and multi-functional partners to align on features and product roadmap
