Arconic is currently in search of a Planner to join our join our Additive Manufacturing business unit in Austin, Texas.

  • Determines the operations production to achieve external client’s requirements in terms of time and quantity of manufactured parts.

  • Communicates regularly to the internal customers the required production information in order to meet the targeted production objectives.

  • Participates in projects related to the arrival of new equipment and products to ensure that the planning is realistic and respects the production needs.

  • Provides the required information using the SAP.

  • Analyzes the information available in SAP in order to identify the potential problems affecting the production planning.

  • Participates regularly in meetings with the production team to communicate information of the daily planning.

  • Reports quickly to its internal customers and to his supervisor of any potential problems.

  • Works in collaboration with the various internal customers when problems related to the planning are raised; identify realistic solutions.

  • Reviews regularly production scheduling (Dispatch list) contingent to the problems so that the targeted clients are up to date in their production planning.

  • Produces the “Production order", the "splits", the repairs of parts, as well as the additional operations in the SAP system, complying with the company procedures.

  • Monitors the production operations objective in order to anticipate delays and existing problems; communicate the information to the various customers.

  • Coordinates the entry of raw materials by ensuring that the procurement department has all the required orders information to be placed in order to meet the scheduled production.

  • Schedules the equipment ins and outs keeping in mind the production needs and the requirements of external clients

  • Participates in the drafting of work instructions (SWP) as per company procedures

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, industrial or administration from an accredited institution

  • A minimum 3 years of planning experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience

  • Cooperatively resolves customer issues both inside and outside the organization by conveying concern and sharing appropriate information. Uses prompt follow-through, and persuasiveness to provide the optimum solution which benefits both parties. Has a sense of urgency, is alter to customer’s point of view.

  • Effective in a variety of formal and informal settings: one on one, small and large groups, with peers and direct reports and managers.

  • Control stress, accepts changes uncertainty, is open to learning new skills to alleviate stress

  • Keeps information organized an accessible, works systematically/efficiently, manages time well

  • Oriented to teamwork, collaborative, recognizes contribution of others. Listens well and operates well with cross-functional disciplines.
