Our client in North Austin is seeking 2 Maskers for temp to perm.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

In the first 6-12 months, you will undergo training through the Masker Certification Program to develop the necessary skills. The primary responsibilities include masking and demasking customer products for parylene coating. Additional duties may involve cleaning, surface preparation, inspection, packaging, shipping, receiving, fixture refurbishing, and other process-related tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSPs), and any other written or verbal instructions.

  • Perform basic masking, demasking, and inspection tasks using specified methods and materials, including small hand tools, microscopes, and other support equipment.

  • Inspect your own work to ensure quality compliance.

  • Inspect, disassemble, clean, refurbish, and reassemble coating fixtures as needed.

  • Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements when necessary.

  • Maintain a high level of punctuality and attendance.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate precision measuring instruments and record results as required.

  • Perform tasks in a clean room environment, adhering to clean room protocols, including PPE and hygiene standards.

  • Maintain a high level of personal hygiene and a neat, orderly work area.

  • Follow plant and corporate safety policies.

  • Properly dispose of, package, label, ship, or inspect hazardous materials or waste according to regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in other areas or perform additional duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Completion of the SCS Reading Comprehension assessment may be acceptable in lieu of a GED.

  • At least 1 year of assembly experience is required.

BASIC SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.

  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to communicate straightforward data, instructions, production results, quality issues, and similar topics both verbally and in writing.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Ability to work seated for extended periods.

  • High manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for precise masking and demasking tasks.

  • Ability to distinguish between colors: red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and violet.

  • Vision acuity of 20/20 using a Jaeger eye chart (near vision), with or without vision correction. Ability to read No. 1 at 14” distance, No. 2 at 20” distance, or No. 3 at 24” distance.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

  • Pay: $16/hour

Pay Details: $16.00 per hour
