Essential Job Functions
As a Business Development Representative , you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and nurturing potential opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients through cold calling, emailing, social media outreach, and market research.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up with prospects.
Qualifying Leads: Assess potential opportunities based on established criteria and pass qualified leads to the sales team.
Meeting Scheduling: Arrange discovery calls, product demos, and follow-up meetings for the sales team.
Market Feedback: Share insights and trends from prospect conversations to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Discovery & Research: Conduct in-depth research on target companies and key decision-makers.
Social Media Engagement: Actively engage with prospects on platforms like LinkedIn to build relationships and brand awareness.
CRM Management: Accurately document all outreach activities, conversations, and progress within the CRM system.
Basic Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 1 year in a similar role in business development, inside sales, or a related role.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance, claim/RMIS systems, or legal spend management is strongly preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Tech-Savvy: Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-Motivated: Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating with the team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Business will be conducted in Eastern Time zone work hours.
Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $52,500 - $97,500.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
