Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Austin, Texas

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the Food & Food Processing industry for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant based in Austin, Texas. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing Human Resources policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal employment standards, and addressing employee relations matters.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the administration and management of Human Resources

• Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws

• Address and handle employee relations issues

• Participate actively in all recruiting processes

• Prepare and distribute orientation packages and assist with orientation sessions

• Review applications, conduct initial phone screenings for applicants with experience in the field, and coordinate interviews with respective department managers

• Facilitate background checks and drug screenings

• Network through industry contacts, association memberships, and trade groups for recruitment purposes

• Prepare and update weekly open positions report

• Schedule and assist in job fairs

• Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruitment, including Internet utilization

• Use social and detail oriented networking sites to identify and source candidates

• Post job openings in newspaper advertisements, with detail oriented organizations, and other appropriate venues

• Identify and document potential sources for ideal candidates

• Undertake administrative duties and maintain recordkeeping. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is a requirement for this role.

• Knowledge and experience in using ADP Workforce Now are essential.

• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is a prerequisite.

• Skills in Ceridian is a must for this role.

• Proficiency in HRMS is a crucial requirement.

• Prior experience with About Time software is necessary.

• Auditing skills are required for this role.

• The ability to conduct Background Checks is a must.

• Knowledge and experience in handling Benefit Functions are needed.
