Amazon Front End Engineer II, Amazon Business, Ink in Austin, Texas

Description

We are looking for an experienced front-end engineer to help us reinvent business user interfaces. You will work with UX designers and engineers across product and tech teams in Seattle, Austin, Madrid, and Hyderabad, leading initiatives to transform these teams’ work into a single, holistic, end-to-end experience for business customers. A successful candidate will be passionate about front-end technology and enabling teams to deliver bar raising solutions.

Key job responsibilities

As a Front End Engineer, you'll be responsible for enabling UI strategy across Amazon Business administrative experiences, as well as experiences for business specific integrations into shopping. You will work closely with Sr. FEEs and product leaders to influence long-term strategy, and increase Amazon Business' ability to rapidly innovate. With solid product instincts, technical expertise, and ability to execute, you'll deliver the next generation of UI components and efficiency boosting tools for engineers.

About the team

The Ink team owns the design system for Amazon Business, bridging the conceptual design language to concrete implementations.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience

  • 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience

  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
