The Infrastructure Services team is seeking a positive, dedicated and adaptable professional to join our diverse team. We are looking for candidates committed to help our customers understand and plan the future iterations of their fleet: physical and virtual infrastructure, and a range of infrastructure service offerings. Apple is looking for a collaborative, highly organized professional to drive a Fleet Planning Program supporting our customers and partners within the context of Infrastructure offerings, Infrastructure Services and Data Centers. The ideal candidate with bring their deep technical expertise to craft infrastructure solutions for a wide variety of internal customers.
Description
As Fleet Planning Program Manager, your role will be to help hundreds of customers who are owners of internal and external applications. Responsibilities: Work closely with the customers and deep dive into the current infrastructure stack. Plan and engage on how to best to help customers iterate on their stack, within the context of continuously evolving infrastructure services and solutions, while also being acutely aware of the risk factors and time sensitiveness of the infrastructure delivery, mapping it to the roadmap of services. Understand infrastructure services and offerings: Offerings can be from one or more groups that build the service. This also involves working with the owners of the services, understanding the features, limitations and roadmaps. Forecasting and planning: Aggregate the demand from our hundreds of customers and communicate these plans to key partners, executives and finance. Executive communications: Exceptionally good with numbers. We do executive communications, every number presented must be well researched, understood and the nuances of it explained in executive reviews as leaders deep dive into the fleet. Collaboration and effective solutions: Think and engage in abstract (a vision), breaks it down into a concrete plan, works autonomously and drives the plan to perfection. Collaborate with customers as needed, influence others to take quick decisions on effective solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ year of experience in delivering infrastructure services or related technical domain
BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical field
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
10 - 15 years in engineering roles (Linux, Database, Storage, Network, SRE) working with technical and business team to understands data center infrastructure from every perspective.
Solid background of both On-Prem Datacenter and Private Cloud Infrastructure
Understands the engineering and delivery of physical infrastructure such as bare-metal, storage, networking, space and power as well as virtual infrastructure like virtual instances, cloud, elastic storage, database as a service
Understands and articulates multi-dimensional facts suited to the audience
Data analysis using a variety of tools such as Excel, bash, cli, sql, api, code
Can write code to develop new tools or plumb multiple disparate systems.
Takes ownership and is tenacious.
