Robert Half Financial Analyst in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in Austin, Texas. You will be required to perform various financial tasks and analysis, contributing significantly to our financial planning and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain spreadsheets or other documentation to support entries to the general or subsidiary ledgers.

• Manage the posting of entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to ensure a timely close process.

• Regularly review the general ledger trial balance for accuracy and reasonableness.

• Analyze existing procedures for recording financial transactions to optimize general ledger accounting operations.

• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements through diligent review.

• Oversee the monthly closing of the modules in Oracle and coordinate company consolidations.

• Generate and deliver accurate and timely financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Produce board reports and provide special reports as required.

• Conduct a written monthly analysis of cost trends.

• Reconcile the general ledger control accounts to the subsidiary ledgers balance regularly.

• Review and approve entries posted to subsidiary and general ledgers for accuracy and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

• Conduct independent research into errors in coding of expenses monthly and develop correcting entries as needed.

• Reconcile accounts as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for this role.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services will be highly valued.

• Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is necessary.

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is required.

• Must have experience in Data Mining Techniques.

• Mastery in Accounting Functions is mandatory.

• Accrual Accounting skills are necessary.

• Auditing experience is essential.

• Understanding of Budget Processes is required.

• Experience in Capital Management is needed.
