Conduct intake and drop in appointments with current and prospective students and families and maintain a caseload of approximately 200-250 students. Determine reasonable accommodations and support faculty and staff in implementation of approved accommodations. Ensure accurate records are maintained in a confidential manner in keeping with the Universitys document retention policy, privacy laws, FERPA and ADA requirements.Conduct interviews with families and current and prospective students who have or may have disabilities in one or more disability category, maintaining confidentiality as required by law. Review disability-related documentation, including psychoeducational and neuropsychological reports to determine eligibility and appropriate academic accommodations under Sec. 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act and the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA).Meet with individual students and student groups for problem solving, counseling, information dissemination, and program development, using independent judgment in interpreting policies for these groups.Work with individual faculty members, staff, and appropriate agencies and or individuals outside of the University to evaluate and plan necessary academic accommodations for individual students.Work with other staff members and departments to support various accessibility-related programs, initiatives, policies, and procedures including those involving housing, notetaking, D/HH services, outreach, funding/scholarships, and career services. Develop and advise groups for students with cognitive and psychological disabilities.Prepare and deliver presentations and workshops for students, faculty, and other University personnel and or divisions regarding disabilities.Work with other staff members on assessment goals and collecting, reviewing and interpreting departmental data.
