Director, Global Product Pricing - Remote Position

Iron Mountain’s Digital Business Unit (DBU) is a leading provider of innovative digital solutions in the financial services, energy, healthcare, and government market segments. We’re looking for a Director of Global Strategic Pricing who will lead Iron Mountain’s Digital Business Unit’s global pricing organization and guide overall pricing strategy and execution. This role will develop and lead effective pricing strategies across the entire products/services/solution portfolio, working cross functionally with the organization to drive efficient and decisive progress toward enhancing pricing maturity and driving ARR.

An ideal candidate for this role must be a passionate, team-oriented problem solver who approaches the role with a general manager mentality, waking up every day thinking about innovative ways to partner with Iron Mountain’s business stakeholders and geographies to empower ARR software growth and enhance margins. You’ll elevate the company’s expertise in pricing and develop and implement a strategic analytical backbone into the pricing process. You possess exceptional pricing skills, a deep understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS), and a proven track record of driving customer-led innovation and growth. Our ideal candidate has a bias for action and results, and will not quit until the job is done.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership: You own the product and solution pricing strategy, vision, and roadmap globally. You wake up every day responsible for building innovative offerings that meet Iron Mountain’s and our customers' needs. You partner with finance, commercial sales, and the DBU leadership team to drive ARR software growth, and are accountable to meet this year and future years’ targets.

  • Strategic Leadership: You define and execute a multi-year pricing strategy, aligning with customer input, company goals, competitive, and market trends. You Identify opportunities to implement pricing as a strategic lever.

  • Market Analysis: You and your team conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends and behaviors. You use insights to inform decisions and prioritize new initiatives. You develop pricing strategies based on understanding of next best alternatives, competitive dynamics, and expected market response.

  • Financial Acumen: You are comfortable aligning with finance to build region-specific software and services pricing..

  • Stakeholder Engagement: You’re able to gain tight alignment with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, enablement, finance, and revenue management, to ensure successful rollout and adoption of new global pricing solutions.

  • Team Leadership: You hire and develop the best talent so that you’re able to achieve your strategic outcomes. You guide, support, and mentor your team, supporting their professional development while empowering them to excel in their roles.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field

  • 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience leading a pricing function with demonstrated success in:

  • Strategic planning, teambuilding, and leadership

  • Implementation of new processes/systems

  • Deep experience implementing analytics and driving pricing leadership in a B2B organization of relevant scale and complexity (including global operations).

  • 5 years experience with B2B SaaS software, positioning, and usage-based pricing models.

  • Ability to develop high-impact pricing strategies.

  • A change agent. Ability to influence senior leadership in the development of pricing strategies including global and regional sales & marketing teams.

  • Significant experience defining and launching software in the B2B space.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.

  • Confident and articulate verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level communications.

  • You work independently, but also know when to ask for help.

  • Strong leadership capabilities. Ability to lead the pricing group, as well as drive for change across functions and teams that help the company culture accelerate pricing acumen and execution.

  • Exposure to corporate transformation or the creation of centers of excellence is highly desired.
