The top half of the posted salary range is generally reserved for candidates who exceed the requirements and qualifications for the role. The maximum of the salary range is reserved for candidates that far exceed the required and preferred qualifications for the role. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Texas Education Agency (TEA) oversees the primary and secondary education of over 5 million students in Texas public schools by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems. Well-equipped agency employees are critical to ensuring local school districts, superintendents, and teachers are supported to ensure the Agencys Strategic Plan is successful in achieving our vision to prepare the public-school students in Texas for success in college, career, or the military. The Copy Center Coordinator (Staff Services Officer III) plays a critical role in supporting the Agency Operations Divisions daily oversight of agency operations and daily support activities. The position manages the daily operations of the agencys copy center, which supports all TEA divisions, including all components of print and production, records and documents digitization processes, and maintenance and operations of agency floor printers. As part of the Agency Services unit, the Copy Center Coordinator performs highly complex electronic document imaging and printing services work. This position provides customer service and efficient and effective digitization and copy center operations. The Copy Center Coordinator works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Copy Center Coordinator may work a hybrid schedule with at least four in-person days each week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Job duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned. 1. Agency Copy Center Coordination: manage the daily functions of the agency copy center production, including all aspects of print production and poster/sign design; manage the procedures, methods, and quality control for all job orders, maintaining production logs, preparing reports, ordering supplies, troubleshooting equipment problems, and initiating corr ctive action2. Agency Floor Printer Support: manage the operation and maintenance of all agency floor printers to ensure they operate efficiently, monitor leases to verify meter readings for accurate monthly billing, maintain adequate store of consumable supplies for floor printers, and monitor and report floor printer usage for securing quotes for updating printers as needed3. Agency Records and Document Digitization: support the digitization of agency records and documents in coordination with the Document Services Technician; review, sort, organize, and prepare documents for imaging into an electronic format; determine the correct format and proper equipment settings to produce clear, high-quality images; performs quality control of digitization by examining finished jobs to ensure adherence to standards4. Strategic Operational Support: provide strategic time-bound operational support to the Director of Agency Services and Operations to increase staff capacity for specific initiatives as needed; support the development and implementation of user-centered business processes and resources to enhance and support internal communication and engagement in a hybrid work environment and other initiatives that support agency staff; Specific responsibilities include updating and maintaining Agency office floor maps and signage, CAD plans, parking maps, agency directory, and kiosk boards Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university Experience: At least one (1) of experience in the operation of digital imaging equipment and software, scanners, and bindery or reproduction equipment. Three years of experience is highly preferred OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Share the belief that all Texas students can achieve at high levels and are able to succeed in college, career, or the military. Experience in the operation of bindery, duplicating, and reproduction equipment and in the use of a computer and applicable software. Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of digital imaging equipment and scanners; of types, varieties, and uses of papers, inks, chemicals, developers, and fixers used in the operation of duplicating and reproduction equipment. Knowledge of the operation, and adjustment of duplicating and bindery equipment; and of computer operations and communication networks. Ability to understand and follow directions for scanners and digital imaging equipment and their software, and to communicate effectively. Ability to adapt to unexpected tasks and work in an environment that requires short turnaround times and the possibility for work outside normal working hours.
