Hire, train, supervise and evaluate a team of financial professionals. Develop efficient work processes, priorities, and performance goals; assigns resources and tasks and measures productivity. Motivates direct reports by communicating job expectations, monitoring and appraising job results, providing positive feedback and skills development.Develop and conduct audits of financially related processes/functions to ensure compliance with all applicable policies. Research and audit issues and implement solutions as appropriate.Using available electronic applications, databases, queries, financial and personnel reports to gather and organize data to evaluate and analyze results. Present conclusions, concerns and recommended solutions of analysis.Produce various management reports to meet established deadlines. Monitor budget vs. actual results for departmental accounts on a monthly basis and recommend budget revisions when needed.Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, service, and operations information. Measure and evaluate performance of team through use of metrics and reporting systems. Ensures that the team is on track to meet performance goals and adjusts based on performance data as needed. Prepares metrics reports for senior level management to demonstrate team's performance and productivity and client department volume of work.Oversee the work processes for the team regarding the annual budget submission, merit and salary adjustment process, and the sub-certification process for client departments.Acts as a liaison with senior level management and other department managers by developing productive, collaborative relationships and utilizing clear and effective communication. Supports efforts to ensure sound financial planning, budgeting, and account management processes are in place and in compliance with UT processes and procedures.Other duties as assigned
