Your responsibilities Position Summary Responsible for planning, creating, implementing and maintaining EHS programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety and health for all personnel at the Aurora, Ohio and Florence, Kentucky facilities. Assuring compliance with all applicable federal and state EHS laws, regulations and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Individual/Management Responsibilities & Accountabilities: Interface with plant personnel to address safety or environmental concerns or violations. Provide guidance for all EHS responsibilities and topics as a technical resource. Provide communication to Corporate Quality EHS Manager concerning accidents / near misses and any EHS issue that cannot be resolved or requires further approval. Follow all company policies and procedures. Report to appropriate member(s) of management any incidents or issues where polices may have been violated. Coordinate the proper handling and shipment of wastewater. Ensures the proper Non-Hazardous Waste Manifest is used, returned and filed. Attend and contribute to S2QDC meetings. Review PPE and all safety requisitions prior to approval. Ensure the workplace satisfies EHS requirements for ventilation, temperature, lighting, sanitary, washing and rest facilities. Assist in the follow up and ongoing investigation of any recordable accidents, incidents or near misses. Provide technical support for the Energy Management Systems and serves as the point contact for developing an integrated system and driving continual improvement. Other duties include various monthly, quarterly, semi-annual tasks and requirements, e.g. JSAs, new machine tool analysis, internal audits, training, reporting. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to multitask throughout the work day to ensure duties are completed. Education Requirements Minimum of a related Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an EHS position. Three to five years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting is preferred. Proven understanding of all labor laws and EHS regulations.
