ECS Federal Systems Engineer - Level III in Aurora, Colorado

Description: ECS is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level III to work in our Aurora, CO office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer - Level III to join our team in Aurora, CO. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, testing, upgrading, integrating, and supporting infrastructure platforms. If you possess strong engineering skills, extensive experience in infrastructure design and support, and a passion for innovation, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Work Days: Monday - Friday with occasional weekend and after hours support. Must be able to lift 35lbs regularly Must be able to move about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Salary Range: $173,000 - $183,000

General Description of Benefits

Required Skills: Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency. Must have active Public Trust security clearance. Develop and design new infrastructure platforms or upgrade existing ones to meet evolving business requirements. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of infrastructure platforms to ensure they meet specified requirements and performance criteria. Integration: Seamlessly integrate new or upgraded infrastructure platforms into the existing environment to ensure minimal disruption and optimal functionality. Provide specialized support for eVault, ensuring the backup and archival processes are efficient and reliable. Manage and support MS Exchange environments to maintain robust and secure email services. Provide expert support and maintenance for MS SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance. Document all aspects of the build and configuration processes to ensure clear guidelines and repeatability. Maintain detailed records of testing procedures, results, and any issues encountered. Document deployment processes and strategies to ensure successful implementation and future reference. Define processes for the SDLC to ensure consistency and quality. Manage requirements to ensure they are clearly defined, documented, and met. Plan projects effectively to ensure timely and within-budget completion. Implement quality assurance practices to maintain high standards. Utilize metrics and thorough testing to monitor and enhance performance. Ensure infrastructure platforms are certified, validated, and verified according to standards. Support architecture and reengineering efforts to improve infrastructure platforms. Plan and implement security measures and manage configuration to protect infrastructure platforms. Employ Agile methodologies, including sprints and user stories, to enhance the efficiency and adaptability of de velopment processes. Coordinate with system administrators and stakeholders to implement new infrastructure platforms, upgrades, or version increments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions. Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms from potential threats. Support infrastructure platform modeling to predict performance and identify potential improvements. Conduct detailed analysis and planning to ensure the infrastructure meets current and future needs. Coordinate with architecture teams to evaluate new and emerging infrastructure platform technologies. Make informed recommendations for the selection and implementation of new technologies. Assist system administrators with complex troubleshooting issues, providing advanced technical support. Coordinate vendor engagements to resolve troubleshooting issues effectively. Provide day-to-day operatio nal or administrative support for deployed infrastructure platforms in both pre-production and production environments.
