Requirements Analyst

Key Role:

Serve as the clients’ most trusted advisor and essential partner, assisting them with a multi-year IT system modernization effort through the expert application of highly developed software and systems requirements domain expertise and knowledge. Support a Federal Government civil organization with the identification of business, system, non-functional, data, and reporting requirements needed to support the modernization of its mixed financial IT system. Leverage expertise in the development and document requirements and use cases that will enable the design and implementation of an IT system that supports recently re-engineered business processes. Apply expertise in the use-case development, requirements validation, and traceability matrices mapping requirements to business processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with gathering requirements and testing applications, and databases

  • Experience with translating process maps and system documentation into well-articulated business, system, non-functional, reporting and data requirements

  • Experience with identifying, documenting, and articulating use cases to inform requirements development

  • Experience with mapping business processes to requirements and developing traceability to ensure full-inclusion or identification of all critical requirements

  • Experience with client systems, system documentation, records, and information management

  • Experience in working with software and system development teams to review requirements and ensure all issues have been addressed and resolved

  • Experience with working with business users, IT system managers, and software developers

  • Experience with facilitating requirements gathering and tracking requirements across multiple teams

  • Ability to be innovative, able to work independently, and willing to work in a dynamic team environment, on client site, to maximize effectiveness and achieve project goals

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with and working knowledge of enterprise data management systems and solutions

  • Experience with IT services, the software development life cycle (SDLC), or technology deployments for federal government agencies

  • Experience with analyzing the development of test plans, test scripts, and training manuals for distribution to system end-users for testing

  • Experience with identifying policy impacts on requirements

  • Knowledge of collaboration, process, and visualization tools such as Jira/Confluence and Visio

  • Ability to work with leadership, functional groups, and development teams

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
