Minimum Qualifications:

Assistant Professor:

  • Candidate must hold a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree

  • An excellent publication record in recognized professional journals

Associate Professor:

  • Candidate must hold a PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree

  • An excellent publication record in recognized professional journals

  • Track record of extramural funding and currently holding at least one R01 (or equivalent) transferrable grant.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicant preferred to have transferable, active extramural grant funding

  • A dedicated and collaborative working style

  • Evidence of successful mentoring of undergraduate students, graduate students, clinical or postdoctoral fellows

  • Research models that could extend or complement the research of our existing faculty

The Department of Pathology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking full-time research faculty at the Assistant to Associate Professor level with an independent research program (established or in development) related to cancer biology. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to cell signaling, cancer genomics, tumor host interactions, tumor progression and metastasis, and multi-organ and systemic effects of cancer. Candidates must develop and maintain externally funded independent research as well as collaborate actively with other investigators in the department and/or institution. Active participation in the teaching of graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and junior faculty is expected. Candidates should have completed their terminal degree and at least one post-doctoral experience with a track record of scholarship and publication. Individuals with evidence of successfully obtaining external funding will be favored. The starting salary range () for this position has been established as $110,000 to $140,000 $140,000 to $160,000 The above salary range () represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
