A Front Row Seat to Innovation Nuclear Medicine Technologists are a critical part of performing high quality pediatric diagnostic imaging and conscientious patient care at Children's Hospital Colorado. This role leverages advanced imaging technology to facilitate the diagnosis and exceptional treatment to our patients, creating a brighter future for children at one of the nation's top children's hospitals. Salary Range: $36.51 to $54.77 (hour) or $75,957 to $113,935 (annual) *Based on hours worked per week and years of experience. *Positions are eligible for mileage reimbursement and/or shift differentials (PRN, evening, night & weekend). Eligible Incentives: Relocation assistance available for qualified external applicants. Shifts: Variable; full time and PRN (as needed). Education - Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program Certification(s) - Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist ARRT(NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board: Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Job Highlights: Produces high quality imaging while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology utilizing proper imaging protocols. Facilitates patient flow daily; to include management of STAT/urgent and high priority patients. Provides age-appropriate care and appropriately prepares patients for procedures. Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure and care to patients, families, coworkers, and others. Operates all imaging equipment; to include ancillary equipment following safety procedures and protocols. Utilizes principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) and ensures proper radiation safety practices. Maintains required competency in dose reduction techniques and the Image Gently Campaign. Maintains safety training and competencies for handling, shipping and administering radiopharmaceuticals Demonstrates initial and annual competency in IV placement and securement, vascular access devices and extravasation handling In the event of an emergency will act as first responder and provide Basic Life Support (BLS) until help arrives. Assists Provider with procedures as necessary (Maintaining technologist Scope of Practice). Follows established procedural guidelines; documents appropriate information as required; practices aseptic/sterile technique and standard precautions when necessary.
