    Location:Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center – Aurora, CO

    Job Summary:

    Vighter is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team and make a significant impact on the well-being of the veteran community served by the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate professionals to provide exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team, dedicated to advancing patient health.

    Reports to:

  • Project Manager

    Principle Accountabilities:

  • Provides nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.

  • Performs quality control checks and operator maintenance for a variety of patient care equipment.

  • Assists in identifying patient needs and implementing the plan of care.

  • Documents care given and patient response in the medical record.

  • Possess knowledge of actions and usual dosages of most used emergency drugs and their location.

  • Assists in patient/family education regarding prescribed medications / therapies / diagnostic procedures.

  • Participates in monitoring quality of care according to processional standards and established procedures.

  • Responds to telephone inquiries regarding ward services and/or follow-up ancillary reports.

  • Assists with ward related administrative tasks.

  • Administers oxygen, intravenous fluids, and prescribed medications in accordance with VA policy.

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to cultural diversity, race, gender, and other individual differences in the workforce, in the Veteran population, and in the Community.

  • Can perform duties as stated in the job description.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any US state or territory.

  • Basic Life Support/BLS (AHA or ARC)

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • United States Citizenship.

    Experience:

  • 1+ years of experience in the last 36 months.
