Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for solid to expert knowledge and performance of all Diagnostic procedures to include x-rays, fluoroscopy, C-Arms & OR Procedures, and Portables . Provides technical assistance and Supervision to the Diagnostic Radiology Staff on any given shift and or in the absence of the Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor. Plans and schedules work assignments during the shift ensuring distribution of assignments and adequate coverage throughout the hospital. Provides a positive goal-orientated technical supervision to assigned staff promoting an atmosphere of support and quality. Works closely with Radiology Supervisor to ensure that the department is adequately staffed and recommends various personal actions including hiring, corrective action, and performance appraisals. Embraces the Mission, Vision, and Values of the facility of Patient Safety, Show and Presentation, Courtesy and Compassion, and Efficiency. Must be detail focused and have the ability to multi-task, interact and communicate positively and effectively. Must positively reflect concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees as outlined in facility Standards of Behavior . Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills for radiology operations and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions. Ensures that facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with policies, procedures, and protocols established by the Medical Director. Comprehends the HCAHPS model of publicly reported quality information from the customer (consumer) perspective and the impact care provided in Imaging has on the patient’s perspective of their hospital care. Three years’ diagnostic experience required.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Expert knowledge of all Diagnostic procedures.

  • 3 -years diagnostic experience required. Prefer previous charge/lead and or supervisory experience. PACS experience preferred.

  • Current ARRT (R) License, Current BLS through AHA or ARC

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)

  • High School Graduate / GED

  • Certificate
