Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.

One (1) year professional-level research experience.
Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
Two (2) years of professional level research experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics, or related field.
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in an experimental or wet lab.
Two (2) to three (3) semesters of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniques.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.

This is an Open Rank Research Services Laboratory Sciences position that will support the laboratory of Dr. Yunsik Kang at the University of Colorado School of Medicine at the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology. The lab professional will contribute to maintaining the lab and conducting basic science research on neuronal remodeling using Drosophila as a model system. The lab professional will learn and employ molecular-genetic and cell biological techniques. You do not need to be an expert in all techniques listed, although it would be helpful if you are familiar with some of them. Dr. Kang can teach you techniques as long as you are motivated to learn and ask questions.
