Job Overview

The Formula/Human Milk Tech Senior is responsible for assisting clinical professionals, such as Registered Nurses, Registered Dietitians, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians, in providing optimal nutritional care to hospitalized patients through accurate, safe, and timely handling, storage, preparation and distribution of formulas and/or human milk to patients and families. Department Name: Lactation Support Services Job Status: Full-Time; 40 hours/week - eligible for benefits Shift: 4 x10 hour shifts. Start time will wither be 8 am or 830 am. There is a mandatory Holiday and weekend rotation requirement.

Qualifications

Education:Associate degree in a related field is required. Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare-related experience, preferably in a hospital setting Equivalency:Minimum of two years of college credit in a healthcare-related field, such as Medical Nutrition, Anatomy and/or Physiology or certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA) Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or as a Lactation Counselor (CLC) or Advanced Lactation Consultant (ALC) may be considered in lieu of a deg
