Job Overview

The Education Specialist provides consultation and intervention programs for assigned patient populations (i.e. Down syndrome, deaf, learning disabilities and etc.). The Education Specialist also provides education, counseling and information to parents and patients; assists and directs families to a variety of resources; and acts as a liaison between staff, schools and other community resources.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - Master's degree in Special Education or other relevant field. EXPERIENCE - Two years pediatric experience in a hospital, rehabilitation, or school setting performing the evaluation and treatment of children in the assigned patient populations. CERTIFICATION(S) - Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate. LICENSURE - Colorado Department of Education Teacher's License.
