Job Overview
The Behavioral Health Clinician Non-Licensed is responsible for direct patient care and safety including diagnostic, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children, adolescents, and their families in Outpatient, Inpatient or Emergency Department settings.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field. EXPERIENCE: No professional level experience; must have completed graduate school field placements CERTIFICATION(S): Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification LICENSURE: Eligibility for Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to be earned within 1.5 years of hire This position may require a BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Responsibilities
POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE Neonate - 30 days to 1yr Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs School age - >5yrs to 13yrs Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Under the supervision of an identified licensed Behavioral Health Clinician Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents by developing and implementing treatment and intervention plans and conducting needs assessment to gather patient information. Provides crisis intervention to families and provides interventions with families to support dischar e to home and stabilization.Also develops a therapeutic relationship with patients and families to assist with psychological problems. Completes diagnostic behavioral health assessments for treatment or crisis intervention.Compiles and analyzes data and prepares case records, reports, and documents that comply with state and federal standards in providing case notes, treatment plans, and evaluations. Collaborates with other disciplines or departments on patient care and unit safety and serves as a liaison with multi-disciplinary care teams and external
