Job Overview

The Behavioral Health Clinician Non-Licensed is responsible for direct patient care and safety including diagnostic, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children, adolescents, and their families in Outpatient, Inpatient or Emergency Department settings.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field. EXPERIENCE: No professional level experience; must have completed graduate school field placements CERTIFICATION(S): Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification LICENSURE: Eligibility for Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to be earned within 1.5 years of hire This position may require a BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Under the supervision of an identified licensed Behavioral Health Clinician Provides direct patient care and management of children and adolescents by developing and implementing treatment and intervention plans and conducting needs assessment to gather patient information. Provides crisis intervention to families and provides interventions with families to support dischar e to home and stabilization.Also develops a therapeutic relationship with patients and families to assist with psychological problems. Completes diagnostic behavioral health assessments for treatment or crisis intervention.Compiles and analyzes data and prepares case records, reports, and documents that comply with state and federal standards in providing case notes, treatment plans, and evaluations.
