Scope: GT-PR SW Business - Approx.: INR 1500Cr in OV, with a complete value chain from R&D, Sales, Customer Order Engineering, Manufacturing and Execution. The manpower strength of the EU is about ,475 full time employees. This includes about 225+ Junior Executives or Technicians. In addition, there are about 330+ employees on is about 130 employees full time. Overall third party contract across blue collar and white-collar categories. Other business - SI have their teams in Aurangabad which, the location has close to about 1000 people including 3rd Party Contract and Apprentice (75x).

Stakeholder details: The Senior most colleague is currently at GPL4, PL4 Head of Manufacturing. There are 1 PL05a, 7 PL05b and 8 in PL6 categories.

Areas of responsibilities:

  • Regularly interact with the Stakeholders to understand the business strategy and identify the people implications.

  • Review the Headcount and the Organization structure along with the business leaders in the context of business priorities and make changes as necessary.

  • Communicate the changes and staff the newly created positions with the most suitable candidates.

  • Strategize, design and plan initiatives to challenge the leadership on relevance of the existing mental models and through structured interventions, help them to unlearn the limiting thoughts and embrace a more contextual behaviour.

  • Monitor Learning hours and roll out initiatives to achieve Learning Targets

  • Engage with the EU Head, plan and roll out development initiatives for Middle Managers

  • Strong Industrial Relations background with having lead and closed Long Term Settlements, proven experience in fostering a proactive Indistrial Relations climate

  • Competency Development to assess the current and future competencies needed to achieve the business goals.

  • Engage with the business leaders on the Workforce planning

  • Implement Corporate HR initiatives such as GRIP and People Matter 2.0 in collaboration with other P&O BP's

  • Plan and facilitate the Succession Planning for the GT-PR SW Business in alignment with EU P&O BP

  • Support the EU P&O BP in facilitating the Succession Planning at the EU level

  • Plan and facilitate the development of the Leaders and People Managers by nominating them for programs such as PBM 2, Next Gen Manager, etc in alignment with the GT P&O BP

  • Promote Potential Development process and identify the list of Talents with Potential and develop them by sponsoring them for programs such as CORE, CAP, etc.

  • Counsel and guide People Managers in handling critical People topics in their teams

  • Facilitate the SGES planning workshops. Liase with the EU Management to identify the key topics from the feedback that would be driven at BU level. Support the People Managers to identify the initiatives to be driven at their level.

  • Support the OpCo P&O Head in driving identified P&O initiatives

  • Provide insights from data analysis on topics such as Headcount, Demographics, Org structure, Performance, Compensation, Overtime for workmen etc.,to help the Management take appropriate decisions. Keep a track on the Headcount development

  • Identify a list of critical employees to be retained. Introduce retention measures such as Retention pay if, needed

  • Consolidating the nominations for high value learning programs

  • Responsible to Statutory compliance for the location. Responsible for Payroll and other Location P&O activities such as issue of VISA letters, welfare etc

  • Represent Siemens with Statutory bodies such as GLO, DISH, etc

  • Engage with Trade Unions for Collective Bargaining exercise. Foster a positive Industrial Relations climate

  • Educate the Line Managers on changes in P&O process such as PMP, GRIP etc.

Additional responsibilities undertaken/ tasks performed by the incumbent

  • Support the TA organizaton by conducting interviews for GT to ensure the right selection of Talent

  • Design and facilitate workshops based on business requirements

  • Analyze Compensation data and consult the BU Management on appropriate decisions

  • Participate in HR initiatives such as DISHA by being a part of the team. Take active part in HR projects
