The Opportunity - Risk Management Coordinator

The Work:
As a Risk Management Coordinator, you’ll provide vital clerical and administrative support to our Risk Management Department, ensuring efficient organization, tracking, and documentation of risk-related activities. Under the guidance of the Risk Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Claims and Legal Coordination: Handling various claims processes, including recordkeeping, reporting, and coordinating with relevant parties. You will facilitate the processing of legal documents, subpoenas, depositions, litigation holds, and assist with investigations and analysis of adverse events.
Administrative Support: Supporting the Risk Manager with tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing documents, taking minutes, and managing communications within the department and across other organizational units.
Insurance and Compliance: Assisting with the collection, organization, and submission of data for insurance renewals and coordinating Certificate of Insurance (COI) requests. You’ll track renewal timelines and ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements.
Risk Management Initiatives: Contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and education efforts aimed at risk reduction and elimination across the organization.
You Have:
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with additional education or experience as a paralegal or in office administration within insurance or healthcare preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in an administrative support role is preferred, particularly in healthcare, risk management, insurance, compliance, or quality assurance.
Skills: Strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with database systems. A detail-oriented approach and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Key Competencies: Excellent communication skills to support effective internal and external communication, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work under direction while following procedures accurately.
