We are seeking a meticulous individual who has a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to meet required deadlines. The ability to prioritize work, track progress, and execute timely follow up is critical. The position will be located at Camp Keyes in Augusta. Partial telework will be permitted with management approval.
Primary responsibilities include:
Applies basic accounting theory to account for revenues, expenditures, transfers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.
Reviews and processes accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel expenses, financial contracts.
Monitors status of accounts and contracts to provide information to senior accounting staff.
Exchanges relevant information, explains accounting processes and applicable regulations, and resolves accounting discrepancies to both internal and external customers.
Reviews transactions to for accuracy and completeness to meet state laws, policies, and procedures.
Communicate effectively, both written and verbal and work as a member of a team.
Account reconciliation.
Minimum qualifications:
Entry-level to intermediate education, training, and/or experience in accounting, administrative support functions, or another closely related field demonstrating competency in applying accounting principles and standards and preparing complex reports.
Preference will be given to those applicants:
Experience with Microsoft Office applications and other Business Databases. Advantage system knowledge helpful.
