Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Augusta, Georgia. This role is crucial to our operations, with responsibilities that include account and balance sheet reconciliation, handling journal entries, and overseeing the month-end close process. This role is within the non-profit and property accounting sector and provides a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Reconcile balance sheets to identify and resolve any discrepancies.

• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger.

• Prepare and record journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Proficiently utilize Microsoft Excel to track and analyze data.

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate.

• Use the Blackbaud software for various accounting and financial functions. Requirements • Candidate must possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Proficiency in Blackbaud software is required.

• Experience in account reconciliation is mandatory.

• Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation is necessary.

• Experience in bank reconciliations is required.

• Proficiency in handling general ledger tasks is crucial.

• Experience with journal entries is required.

• Must be able to execute month end close procedures effectively.

• The role requires a senior level of experience in accounting.

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is necessary.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently is required.

• The candidate must possess strong organizational and time management skills.

• Adherence to accounting standards and regulations is necessary.

• The candidate must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Must be able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
