Jacobs Power Solutions team is at the forefront of the energy transition supporting our key clients (developers, tier one energy companies, utilities, and asset owners) in their pursuit to reduce carbon emissions and reach NetZero. The Power Solutions team partner with clients to aid their development, conduct feasibility studies, deliver detailed power system studies along with asset management and future network planning. We are working on some of the most iconic projects in Australia reshaping our energy system.

This team forms part of the broader APAC Energy & Power group offering complete solutions in the power industry including Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation, New Energy and Advisory and Project Solutions. The Group benefits from a broad range of international client relationships, long standing industry partnerships and an impressive management group, passionate about Jacobs offering to the market. We work closely with major companies in the energy industry, ensuring a rapid and smooth transition to a sustainable future.

Here’s what you’ll need :

We're seeking a talented Senior Associate Power Systems Engineer to join our Energy & Power team focused on the APAC region, with a particular emphasis on Australia and/or New Zealand. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise to provide exceptional consulting and engineering services, driving Jacobs' capabilities and reputation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Represent Jacobs at industry events, delivering thought leadership and showcasing our technical excellence in power systems engineering.

  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.

  • Uphold Jacobs' quality assurance procedures, including rigorous review of deliverables.

  • Mentor junior engineers, facilitating their professional development and fostering a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment.

You'll play a vital role in business development, with a focus on identifying and pursuing opportunities in New Zealand. This involves:

  • Contributing to business planning and working towards mutual goals within your section.

  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key industry stakeholders, including prospects, clients, regulators, and suppliers.

  • Developing trusted advisor relationships with Jacobs' key clients across public and private sectors.

  • Collaborating with client management teams to identify emerging opportunities.

  • Supporting bid preparation, project delivery, and ensuring financial success.

Your technical expertise will be invaluable in providing broad support to the wider team on generation projects, including concept design, feasibility studies, technical specifications, Owner's Engineer services, and project management.
