VF Corporation icebreaker : Manager, Supply & Operations Planning (APAC) in Auckland, New Zealand

Reports to Senior Manager Supply Chain Operations APAC – Icebreaker & Smartwool

Challenge

Leader within the APAC Icebreaker & Smartwool SC team partnering with all functional & channels to create a strong Supply chain. Responsible for ensuring that all product range purchasing is aligned to seasonal strategic and financial plans across all channels and territories within APAC. Accountable for ensuring all Supply chain KPI’s are managed and achieved.

Key Accountabilities

Business Process

  • Run the Supply Planning & Operational Planning team & processes

  • Have a vision of the long term pressures on the business and build strategies in advance to combat those pressures.

  • Own the NZ & AU business and provide support for the Asia businesses

Operational Planning

  • Ensures delivering against budget targets across channels and the APAC region

  • Ensures purchases aligned with monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting for total $, Days cover and quality of stock.

  • Involved in decisions related to discounting that could affect inventory position (Over or under) and provides direction to SC Management

  • Owns ensuring the inventory roll is aligned with Plan

  • Ensures that finance and supply chain are in sync with reforecasting process for inventory and financial plans are accurately reported.Manages EOL -within inventory targets and aware of impact to bottom line.

  • Owns the demand & supply match process ensuring the right stock is on order to meet sales

  • Ensures that all reporting for inventory measures are accurate

Supply Planning

  • Own the relationship with Global supply planning and sourcing teams to ensure alignment in process and KPI’s.

  • LIaise with the Global Ops teams to escalate where required vendor capacity / prebuild requirement / MOQ constraints etc.

  • Manges all PO creation and order placement

  • Approves PO adjustments where appropriate

  • Approves expedite requests

People

  • Lead by example on culture and work ethic

  • Maintain connections with VF & Icebreaker partners ensuring that issues and the solutions are well coordinated and the impact on others is understood.

  • Upskill team on a continues improvement basis

Education: Relevant Degree (eg. Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration related qualifications)

‘Must have’ skills, knowledge & experience

  • Equivalent of 8 years of relevant experience within Apparel brands

  • Can easily demonstrate soft skills and an understanding of what it takes to develop a team and the individuals

  • Ability to hire the right people and fit for the role and culture of the team

  • A proven track record in a similar role

  • A fundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts

  • Strong understanding of Omni channel set up on a global scale

  • High level of commercial acumen and proven track record of effective qualitative and quantitative judgement and decision making

  • Strong proven Microsoft Excel skills

  • Strong relationship building, communication, time management and prioritization skills

  • Outstanding customer service standards and skills

  • Can talk fluently to business KPIs

  • Versatile with the ability to adapt to change and successfully work with ambiguity

  • Consumer-centric mind-set
