To succeed in this Staff Accountant role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. In this role, you will perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. What you get to do every single day

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

• Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

• Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested Requirements - Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Great attention to detail

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• Wide ranging experience with cost accounting

• Skills in Asset Inventory

• Well-founded grasp of account reconciliation

• Quality experience with bank reconciliations

• Accrual Accounting experience

• Journal Entry experience

• General familiarity with Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Earlier work involving Manufacturing Cost Accounting

• Comprehension of month end closings

• General ledger experience desired

• Previous experience working with Annual Inventory

• Proven knowledge of Monthly Accruals

• Practical knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of journal entries

• Good understanding of variance analysis

• Month-end Journal Entries experience preferred

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to meet deadlines
