Description

Our client, a very well known, Worcester based, services company is willing to be aggressive to find a Staff Accountant with 2+ years of GL and monthly close experience. The Staff Accountant will report to an Accounting Manger and will focus heavily on the GL, including journal entries, accruals, monthly reconciliations, daily cash flow and will contribute to the monthly reporting package. The Staff Accountant will have exposure to all levels of senior management and there are multiple paths to promotion for a career minded candidate.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting with 2 + years of corporate experience with at least some of that being GL focused.

Requirements - Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• High attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

• Foundational knowledge in Monthly Close

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Account reconciliation experience preferred

• Journal entries experience desired

• Experience with Daily Cash Flow

• Experience with ERP systems
